Water Softner Yakima & Kennewick, WA

Soft Water Specialists LLC is a trusted retailer of water softening products in Kennewick, & Yakima WA. We provide effective, efficient, and durable water softeners made in the USA and created using leading industry technology. These products will ensure that you are using cleaner and gentler water that is overall better than hard water.

How Water Softeners Work

Hard water contains dissolved calcium, magnesium, iron, copper, and zinc. Water softeners reduce contaminants by softening the water through an ion exchange process. While the water flows through the mineral tank, dissolved minerals will attach to the resin. Contaminants will saturate the resin over time, and the device will have to be regenerated using a brine solution with sodium or potassium.

Product Features

Controller

A simplified digital controller measures softened water flow and initiates system regeneration based on water consumption and program settings. Because it controls the salt dosage differentially, it maximizes the efficiency of the water softener.

Regeneration

Each softener model is controlled electronically with a fully programmable microprocessor. It controls Tank Fill, Percolation, Ion Exchange, Backwash, Rapid Rinse, and Return-to-Service cycles.

Control Valve

A hydraulically balanced and coated piston slides effortlessly through seals and spacers. All waterway parts are coated with brass or composite Noryl® materials to ensure longevity and reliability.

Resin Tank

All water softener models come with a non-corrosive fiberglass tank with a thermoplastic inner liner. The maximum working pressure can reach 90 psi, and the maximum working temperature can reach 120°F. It meets WQA Standard S-100 and is approved by the NSF, UL, and FDA. These fiberglass tanks also come with a limited lifetime warranty.

Brine Tank

This system includes a high-capacity brine tank which functions both as a brine maker and salt reservoir. It is made of tough and high-density polyethylene, and larger tanks are available for extra salt storage capacity.

Brine System

The water softener uses a computer to provide the amount of brine needed for regeneration. It has a float and safety valve that allows you to shut it off and prevent the brine tank from overflowing. All units also come with an air check.

ProGuard and ProGuard Plus

This system includes a ProGuard reservoir that ensures peak performance, maximizes efficiency, and provides stringent protection against inorganic metals and minerals.

Weigh Your Options

We offer three tiers of water softeners, with each system being customizable and great for pairing with other water treatment products. If you would like an expert opinion on the best water softener system to address your needs, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us!

The strong acid cation (SAC) resin is a high-quality, FDA-certified, and commercial-grade Functional Matrix resin. Physically hard and moderately chlorine-resistant, it has a very high whole bead count and no color throw. This media combines high-operating capacity with excellent chemical and physical stability, resulting in a long-lasting and dependable operation.

This hybrid media includes all the attributes of the 500-1 softening media and leverage all functions of the 500-2 conditioning media when working with ProGuard or ProGuard Plus. In addition, an NSF-approved clarifying media provides clear water, while a food-grade gravel underbedding ensures uniform flow, minimal pressure drop, and exceptional performance.

This exchange media contains the same qualities as the AquaPro 500-1 and 500-2 Hybrids. However, it has a higher resistance to chlorine oxidation, fouling, and attrition. Meanwhile, the ChlorZorb and catalytic activator eliminate contaminants such as chlorine, chloramine, pesticides, herbicides, and disinfection byproducts.

Like the other two filtration media, it is also designed to work with ProGuard and ProGuard Plus performance enhancers. This allows it to function at peak efficiency, maintain a bacteriostatic environment, and provide you with the water quality you want.

Meet the Future of Soft Water Systems

Twin Sensor Systems

The Twin Analyst system was created in response to the global water crisis, continued fluctuation of water hardness, and occurrences of brine discharge.

This elegant water system uses patented quad-sensor technology that enables upflow regeneration functionality and dual resin exhaustion sensors. It embodies redundancy, intelligent sensing, and efficient regeneration—some of the best features in salt-based softening that the industry currently offers.

After each regeneration, the system creates a new profile containing water conditions. The standby tank then refers to this information during its service cycle. Each system contains smart software that also performs a deep clean cycle. During this service cycle, the system temporarily ignores salt- and water-saving settings to perform a regeneration with a more concentrated brine solution to thoroughly clean the resin.

The system knows that the resin media loses functional capacity after extended economy regenerations. It then initiates a deep cleaning cycle after calculating the number of regular cleanings that have been done. It does this using a proprietary algorithm that takes into account the number of gallons processed, the age of the system, and information from onboard sensors on the status of the resin media.

With this technology, twin sensor systems are sure to become the new standard for water softening and treatment. Contact us now to learn if twin sensor systems are for you!
